Should I Seek Medical Assistance Fro Acne?

Hi I have had a sudden outbreak of acne..There are many pus filled small pimples on my face, about 30 or so. I'm 30 years old and have never had acne before. Should I treat this as a one-off and wait for it to go away, or should I seek medical assistance?

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.

I will advice you to take treatment for acne else it may end up with scars and pigmentation.

There are two modalities of treatment for acne, topical and oral.

in case of mod to severe acne, oral drugs like doxycycline, minocycline, azithromycin, retinoids are started.

Topical agents include clindamycin , benzoyl peroxide, retinoids.
Do not squeeze the pimples.

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion.
Good Luck.
