Should I See A Pulmologist Even After Spirometer Shows 90% Reading While Exercising ?

I rencently had a very bad accident with many broken bones, I have copd anduse oxygen however whiole in trement facilty I began smoking alot. The nurses always forgot to bring the tubing to hok onto the oxygen machine and when I did my exercising I had way above 90% readings on the spirometor. So the nurses sid they feel I do not need the oxygenh. It seems that me smoking now has improved my oxygen levels also not using oxygewn level 3 i get very good readings in 90% + I also have right side heart failure. So why should I bother seeing my pulmologist?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM .
If the spirometer readings are more than 90% without oxygen inhalation and while doing exercise suggests that your pulmonary function is quite normal.
I do not think that you need pulmonologist consultation.
For heart failure you continue to take treatment as advised by your doctor till recovery.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose.
