Should I Continue With Entocort RC For Microscopic Colitis, Depression And GERD?

I have been diagnosed with microscopic colitis, I am currently on Entocort EC. Along with being treated for depression, and gerd. Since I have been on Entocort EC I have gained a lot of weight, more than 30 lbs. I am wondering if it could be because of the medication, and if it is how do I convince my Doctors, that I am just not overeating. I have mentioned to both my Gastro, and my primary and they just seem to believe that I am lazy, and overeating. I have not changed my habits since starting on this med. Hello,

It is possible that your weight gain is from the steroid. In addition to acidity and depression, you would find relief with food.

If you don't have symptoms of colitis now, you may be shifted to medicines that are non-steroidal. You could discuss this with your doctor.
