Should I Be Worried About Liver Problems While Doing A CDT Test?

I have a question about a CDT test. I haven’t drank in over a month and my levees was staying around 1%. The last test showed a 4.1% can workout supplements or Naltrexone cause them to raise without drinking? Also should I be worried about liver problems?

Hello,

False-positive CDT determinations are scarce but do occur in patients with some liver diseases. False positive CDT may also be obtained due to underlying rare genetic condition. Ideally, Naltrexone should not elevate CDT level. It has been seen that Naltrexone can elevate some liver enzymes.

You are advised to quit alcohol intake and also get clinically examined by a GP, get blood tests, liver function tests and imaging tests for liver done. You will be accordingly treated with liver tonics & given symptomatic treatment. You will be advised diet control and healthy living. Take food good for the liver. Avoid spicy oily junk food, avoid intake of processed and packaged food.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
