Should I Be Concerned About The Burning Sensation In Lungs For Accidental Intake Of Apple Cider Vinegar?

my girlfriend accidently inhaled some apple cider vinegar this morning after coughing while drinking some. Her immidiate reaction was labored breathing and a burning sensation in her lungs. its been a few hours now and she is still coughing and having trouble taking deep breaths. is this something to be concerned about or will it subside on its own?
