Should ABHR Gel Be Discontinued In Case Of Stiffness In The Legs?

Yes, a Nurse Practitioner recently put my mother on ABHR cream and Fentanyl for constant screaming (about 18 hours a day), to calm her down. She has calmed down, but within 24 hours, her legs have become stiff as lead pipes, basically petrified, in a fetal position, and her right I became clenched shut. Should she continue on the ABHR cream or can something else be done to stop the 18 hours of screaming?

Hi,

You can continue ABHR gel. The stiffness is not related to the gel. It might be due to the early stages of arthritis.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
