Shall I Do Only Physiotherapy By Giving Up Neugaba Medicine?
I M SUFFERING FROM MILD ROTATOR CUFF TEAR IN MY RIGHT SHOULDER. . JUST NOW TAKING NEUGABA 75, PAIN IS SUBSIDED, TAKING IFT & ULTRA SONIC RAY FROM A PHYSIOTHERAPIST. NOW I WANT TO GIVE UP THE MEDICINE NEU GABA..??..IS PHYSIO..OK.?? WHAT SHOULD I DO...?/
Neugaba 75 is a medicine used to relieve pain caused by nerve damage due to diabetes, widespread muscle pain and stiffness in people with fibromyalgia. It acts by increasing inhibitory chemicals like GABA in brain which inhibits pain.
You can stop the drug and continue with physiotherapy and check for any discomfort. Eventually when there is no pain or discomfort, you can continue with only physiotherapy. Kindly rule out diabetes since it can also cause shoulder pain.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
