Severe Stomach Pain With Back Pain. Suspected Stomach Ulcer. Inflammation, Irritation And Severe Pain With Use Of Cannabis. Opinion?

I went to the ER due to stomach pains that started as episodic, and became increasingly painful until one day I was reeling in pain. Seemingly it was synching with my back pain I have already been experiencing for years( have broken both my feet innumerous times which is the cause of that). After the doctors/tests ruled out everything else by blood, urine, fecal, sonogram, and xray tests, they said that I "must" have a stomach ulcer.

Before this, I had a poor diet, would go between meals for up to 24 hours all the time, and would take NSAIDS pain relievers for my near constant backpain( around three years). Cannabis was my only other go to for pain relief.

After my ER visit, I've been taking omeprazole, and eating more healthily, and haven't taken any pain medication. It has been 5 months now, and the pain is still a near constant dull pain, with spikes to severe all day. I was a tobacco smoker and coffee/soda drinker before, I cut both cold turkey at start. I have tried treating the pain with cannabis, but for some strange reason it highly inflamed and irritated my stomach, while kicking in my backpain, within minutes of smoking. I tried vaporizing to the same effect. I recently tried an edible form with same effect.

My question now is, what further testing should I look into as per if this is really an ulcer, or if it seems like something else, and why would the cannabis, even in a more pure thc form cause such irritation(never did before, smoked for 10 years)? Thank you for your time!!!

Hello,
I went your history thoroughly and I understand that you have been using cannabis for the last 10 years. You also have pain abdomen + back pain for several years (three).
You were a tobacco smoker and take coffee/soda plenty. You have irregular timings of diet habit. You had injured/broken feet for several times. You have taken much of NSAID for pain. You have done all investigations blood, urine, fecal, sonogram, and x-ray tests. No abnormality was found. The Drs have suggested a possibility of stomach ulcer. After taking Omeprazole you felt better.
All the above history leads to only one diagnosis, that may be a Peptic Ulcer (ulcer at the junction of the stomach and duodenum)
Scan usually reveals the outer surface of the hollow viscera. Peptic ulcers can be diagnosed only by Upper GI Endoscopy.
You can visualize the problem and treat it accordingly.
More than that an alteration of your lifestyle is very important. Stop cannabis, Tobacco, Alcohol, Soda and untimely irregular spicy food.
This along with Omeprazole + Antacid Gel + regular, frequent bland diet and a good sleep will help you. Avoid NSAID pain killers. You can try Serra peptidase like drugs for pain relief. If back pain persists do a MRI scan of spines (where pain is more)
More than drugs the cure is in your recovery from these bad habits
With all good wishes
