General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are obese & this obesity may be a reason of your problem.
As you mentioned that there is red swollen leg with swelling over ankle joint.
May be due to inflammation of knee joint ( operated meniscus) .
However pain in the thigh and buttock is a passive pain ( means due to knee joint pain and swelling underlying).
Due to difficult walking pain in thigh and buttocks present.
Consult your operating surgeon and get his opinion .
Good luck.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

All your symptoms in the description may be due to
* Lumbar disc disease with radiculopathy
* Deep vein thrombosis

A detailed clinical examination and appropriate investigations are needed to establish the diagnosis.

I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further workup and management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
