I have severe pain in my right elbow and upper arm, sometimes extending to my fore arm, back of upper arm, shoulder and shoulder blade which began quite suddenly about 5 or 6 mos. ago. I go to pain management for chronic back pain and take opiod pain meds. My pain mgt. dr. did nerve conduction test and he referred me to orthopedic who spent less than 5 min. with me, gave me some exercises. told me to take 50 mil. B Complex and scheduled me for a splint for wrist. I have know that I have Carpal Tunnel and Arthritis in my thumb (had surgery on right thumb to repair about 4 years ago.) I just feel like this orthopedist is barking up the wrong tree, or maybe just going out on the wrong limb (pardon the pun.) Could Carpal Tunnel cause the pain I am having or. as I believe, it is something else. I am 62, had fusion in lumbar vertebrae 6 years ago, hence the chronic pain. I would appreciate your thoughts on this situation. Thank you, Edyth Brooks
