Severe Pain Due To Built Up Of Poop Inside. Anything Other Than Stool Softeners That Can Help Defecate Fully?
ok to start off I have 2 boys that I had within a year of each other and since I have my youngest I haven't been able to poop all that great and he is 4 now I went to the doctor this past summer in a lot of pain and he told me that I have a lot of built up poop in my side he told me to try different thing that haven't worked I don't really want to go back in and have them do whatever it is to fix it is there something around my house besides stool softeners or coffee that I can try to get my self to poop im starting to get that same really bad pain in my side I would really like something that will help right away..

In the short run, many patients might try more aggressive bowel medications, such as Milk of Magnesia. Often starting with a 1/2 dose at bedtime will help, and increasing to the desired effect. I am more concerned that this was not an issue in the past and has become such an issue at this point. You need to probably see a GI specialist who should do simple things like check for thyroid disease and assess whether something more serious is going on.
