Severe Hit On The Side Of Head, Have Swelling On The Face, On Head Above Ear With Increased Tenderness, Jaw Pain. Treatment Required?

Hi. My daughter kicked me in the side of my head with the heel of her foot , by mistake. It was a pretty hard hit as I saw black and then a bright white light when she hit me. My face is slightly swollen, my head is swollen above my ear and is tender to touch. It has been about a hour and now my jaw hurts. Should I go to the doctor or not?

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. You should visit an emergency room and consult a doctor. It has been just an hour and your face is swollen with jaw pain.

You should get yourself physically examined and get investigations done before your sufferings make you restless. You should have a radiology, MRI, EEG done depending upon the diagnosis and severity of the symptoms.

Head is a delicate organ it is important to diagnose any critical injury. You need to start on medications after consultation with a doctor.

Have a nice day, take care.
