Sciatica Pain. Diabetic And Hypertensive. Pain And Discomfort In Left Knee. Is This Nerve Irritation?

Hello...I am experiencing pain and discomfort, superficially, to the left knee. The skin above the knee feels burned and bruised, no trauma has been sustained. My clothes and soft touch is very irritating and painful. I also have sciatica pain on the left side. Is this caused by nerve irritation? Should I consider seeing a neurologist? I am a F/37 y/o, hx of diabetes & hypertension.
