Scalp Infection, Bad Smell. Applied Peroxide, Neosporin. Suggest Medicated Shampoo?
My granddaughter has gotten a scalp infection in the top of her head from a too tight hair weave, It was oozing and had a bad smell. I cleaned the area with peroxide and put neoporin on the area and covered it with gauze. It look a little better but until I can get a doctor's appointment is there anything else I can do. i.e a medicated shampoo of some sort. Please help, thank you
Hi i think it is pityriasis amanticeae.it is infection of the scalp with a matted areas of hair which got infected and there is oozing which causes smell.use coal tar shampoo like ionax-t shampoo alternate day and application of kersol -c lotion daily twice along with broad spectrum antibiotic and anti inflammatory agent can cure it
