Right Temple Twitching,no Sleep,drink Alcohol,no Diagnosis, Neurologist Blow Me Off. Suggestions?
Hi I have been having constant right temple twitching and its driving me insane causing me to drink alcohol and not sleep. I feel it may kill me one day. Please help. I have seen a neurologist and they blow me off. I am also going back to speak with hospital management and complain until I get answers and help.
How can I ever get proper treatment if I have no diagnosis. Please please pleeeeeeese help me
** 1. Most probably it is a part of a generalized body twitching and can come as a result of stress and anxiety usually called as benign fasciculations. 2. Did Neurologist told about any abnormal neurological examination or advised any Investigations? [CT-Scan] 3. seek an opinion of ENT specialist regarding Sinusitis or with a Dental Surgeon for any TMJ problem, which can mimic the condition. 5. Usually they are benign and resolve on their own, but persistent twitching may need following investigations; . electromyography. (EMG) . nerve conduction velocity. (NCV) . blood electrolytes like calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, etc. . thyroid and parathyroid function tests. . blood chemistry and complete metabolic profile.
