Reoccurring Gas Problem With Flickering In Lips. Swelling In Food Pipe. Advice?
hello doc , i am 29 year female. I am suffering from gastric problem for last 10 months , i was diagnosed swelling in the food pipe and for that i took the medicine for one month then i got some relief but from last 15 days again i am facing the problem of gas and flickering on the lower lip . please suggest me what should i do.
Hi ! May be you are having hyper acidity which is causing these problems. Hyper acidity occurs commonly due to wrong food habits (like eating outside specially junk foods, too much of aerated drinks, fried food, etc). This can also be a part symptom of amebiasis which may occur again due to eating outside in unhygienic conditions. You can discuss these issues with your family physician, who may advise you for a stool test with dietary suggestions, and may prescribe you with a proton pump inhibitor along with a prokinetic agent, and also an anti amebic agent if need be. If your problem persists, then you may have to get reviewed by a gastro-enterologist who may advise you for a upper GI endoscopy and on further management. Wishing you an early recovery.
