Remedies For Cold Leg (type 2 Diabetic)

Wife is 55 and has type 2 diabetes . She diligently works hard to keep her blood/sugar levels close to 100 and her AIC at 6.5. For the past 2 days she has complained that her left leg is numb part of the time and her left leg is cold almost all the time. I have tied almost all the home remedies. She still says it is cold. I suggested a warm bath. Is that all right ? Her next appointment with our family doctor is on Feb 2, 2011.

Dear Richard. Welcome to healthcaremagic forum...
Hba1c of 6.5 for a diabetic patient is good. This clearly points out that she is doing well with regards to the sugar control. Diabetes leading to neurological conditions is common in uncontrolled diabetes and those suffering from it for a long time.
From where I see, diabetes is under good control. Hence in these circumstances, a thorough physical examination is also needed to look for other causes of numbness and cold clammy feet. Check if the pulses are felt well (in the affected limb)??
Seeing a doctor will definitely be useful.....
