Redness And Blister Around Pierced Belly Button. Taking Naproxen. Still No Change. What To Do?

Hi,
I recently got my belly button pierced and have been cleaning it twice daily with a mixture of distilled water and sea salt and a diluted tea tree oil solution. The other day I thought I would put some dettol solution on it to kill any infection that may be occuring. Using medical tape, I taped two cotton balls with the dettol solution over the piercing, and left it for approximately half an hour. Later that day after I had taken it off, the area was starting to hurt and the area was red and the skin tight and stretched like a burn. I also noticed a few yellowy looking blisters around it. I have been taking naproxen and still cleaning the area twice daily, not with dettol. This was about four days ago and it is still quite sore and causes me a fair amount of pain. The redness and blistering hasnt seemed to have faded or reduced at all. Please help! What should I do?

Hello
Welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Thank you for your query.
I am Dr Gaurav Patel,dermatologist.
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem..
You have irritant contact dermatitis with dettol or other cleaning product.
You must not use irritant cleanser.
Apply antibiotic cream only will help you.
Avoid any dressing or covering material .
Keep it open and allow it to dry.
Better to consult dermatologist if you not getting better.
I hope I answered your question.
