Red, Swollen Knots Below Knee On Left Leg. No Major Accidents, Injuries, Surgeries. Reason?
Hi, i am a 20 year old male and I have some red swollen knots in my left leg. The knots are below the knee by my shin. They are red, and hurt especially when i walk. I have not inured my leg today, or had any major accidents/surgeries on my legs ever in my life. They also do not itch at all. I am just wondering if this is something that i should worry about immediately or wait and see and maybe set up an appointment in a few days if necessary.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello Thanks for posting your query. From description swelling seems to be inflammatory in nature. You can take anti inflammmatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation. I suggest you to get it evaluated soon to rule out any infective pathology. Meanwhile give rest to the affected part. Hope this will helps you. You can consult me again directly through my profile http://www.healthcaremagic. cm/doctors/dr-saurabh-gupta/64132 Regards. Dr Saurabh gupta. Orthopaedic Surgeon.
