I am experiancing shortness of breath (feeling like I'm not taking in enough air), heartburn sensation that goes from my sternum to my jaw, with a bitter (almost metalic) taste in the back of my mouth (did not go away with Tums) My lower back and sholder blades have a dull and burning/tingling sensation as well as at the base of my neck. My upper abdomen feels full and distended. I also have intermitten muscle type pain on the right side of my upper chest. I've had these symptoms for about a week. I am starting to feel disconnected and I'm having trouble concentrating and my heart seems to race (even though I'm taking a beta blocker). My scalp is tingling and I almost feel like I may pass out, but then the feeling subsides. My doctor doesn't have an available appointment until next week. I'm not sure if this is urgent enough to go to the ER.
