Rash And Skin Peel On Arms, face, back Of Neck, ears, swollen, red And Itchy In 18 Month Old

Hi, my 18month old has a rash and orange peel skin flared up on his arms face and the back of his neck . I ve been covering him in e45 but it doesn t seem to be getting better. This morning I noticed that he now has the same on his ears but they are also really swollen and red. Any ideas what it could be? He is ok in himself but he has been itching.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

It could be allergy. If you can identify a allergen try and avoid it. Antihistaminics as prescribed by your doctor after confirming the diagnosis will be useful.
Calamine lotion will have soothing effect in allergic dermatitis.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
