Quivering In Chest, Heart Racing. Often Have Palpitations. Suggestions?
Lat night I was awakened by a strong sensation of my hear quivering in my chest ...as if my heart had the chills! This went on all night - and was very frightening. Sitting up or standing seemed to help, but lying down was impossible. My heart was also racing according to my husband who listened to it. I often have palpitations, have had them for twenty years, but this was different. Any suggestions?
EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)
