Put On Wellbutrin, Strattera For Hyperactivity And Misbehavior, Had Become More Aggressive. Is It A Side Effect ?

Hi, our grandson was put on wellbutrin and Strattera for hyperactivity and misbehavior. We would like to know how to get him off these drugs as we will have guardianship and think we can work with him. He exhibits signs of more aggression since getting on wellbutrin. We would like to go to no drugs for the summer and see how a more loving, supportive atmosphere affects his behavior. He is only 9 yr old and looks as though he is suffering from malnutrition. Thank you.

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for calling H.C.M.Forum.
Your grand son who is 9 years old was kept on welbutrin, and strattra for hyperactivity, and misbehavior. he became more aggressive after the drugs. he is malnourished.
It appears to be he is malnourished first, you try to recoup the nutrition, try to avoid milk and milk products, appearently there may be no lactose intolarance, but he may have some effect. Avoid glutin containing foods like wheat, barley etc.
Also avoid proteine suppliments containing D.H.A.which have the property of nervous irritation, besides increasing the intelegence.
Avoid the drugs which have central irritation as a side effect, like avil, some antibiotics like cefran and its family drugs.
You can ask your doctor to with draw one of the drugs slowly.
Don't worry he will be fine.
Best regards.
