Prolonged Suffering From UTI. Have Burning Sensation. Is There A Long Term Remedy?
Hi Doc,
I am 32 year old female and keep suffering from UTI. The first episode was when I was 21 years old and since then I keep getting UTI every 4, 6, 7 months... Lets say that I am very prone to it. Its very uncomfortable due to the burning sensation.
Is there a long term remedy which can be done for cases like me who have recurring UTI. Please advise.

You need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Since you are having UTI for such a long time it needs to be properly evaluated.
There are various reasons for recurrent UTI in women.
Besides clinical examination,You need investigation like routine hemogram,RBS,urine RE/ME, urine culture and sensitivity, ultrasound of abdomen, CT Scan can be done if needed.
You should be given broad spectrum antibiotics initially and it may be changed according to culture sensitivity report.
Alkalizing syrup can be given to change PH of urine.
Get well soon.

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with the possibility of PID;PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DIERESES,is the cause of of your redcurrant urinary tract infection.ULTRASOUND SCANNING FOR PELVIS,and vaginal examination may confirm the diagnosis.
other possible causes ruled out.these include
1.renal stones;ultrasound scanning for KUB may confirm the diagnosis.
2.diabetes.check for sugar levels
treatment plan;
