Problem One: My 17 Yr Old Daughter Gets Frequent Sinus

Problem one: My 17 yr old daughter gets frequent sinus infections. She takes allegra and flonase everyday. She is currently taking Ceftin 500mg 1 tab twice a day 10 days and prednisone 10mg 20 tablets tapering over 8 days and otc sudafed. A sinus exray was taken and we were told this is basically all that can be done. (4 infections over last 7 months).

Problem two: She is on day three of the antibiotic and prednisone treatment. She is not fevered, but, she has very very warm to touch red patches on her skin in several areas - cheeks on face, base of neck, upper left arm. And her lower back and head is hurting on top of the sinus pain? maybe from laying in bed 95% of day? Should I be concerned about these large hot red patches and do you know how we can avoid so many sinus infections that gets treated with so much steroids?
