Problem In Opening Mouth, Please Suggest Me Remedy For It
Dear Sir/Mam, I 28 yrs old from UP.From last week whenever i get up i have too much pain while opening my mouth.It open only a inch.Pain is from ear to mouth and cheek region along with some swelling.Today its very painful.I have given heat therapy and taken pain killer pill.So somehow relaxed but not much.Please consult me. Thanks...

The problem of your mouth opening could be due to an impacted wisdom tooth/third molar. It can be observed by taking an OPG xray. You have not mentioned if you have paan chewing habit. This habit can lead to restricted mouth opening.Consult your dentist at the earliest.

Hi, the most common cause of trismus is an impacted third molar or wisdom tooth. Please consult a dentist and go for a dental OPG to check whether it is the cause of your restricted mouth opening along with pain and swelling. You may need to go for a surgery in that case. Take care!

Hello,
Your problem is called "Trismus " . But i think you should try to rule out any dental problems if any and moreover any swelling in cheek or chin region or adjoining area .It can be a small abscess in one of you neck spaces . Possibilities are many for the cause of ur difficulty. ..try consulting an ENT specilaist first and then a dental doc if needed ..and if it is persisting then consult sooner...If u wil specify the problem further then it wd help in localizing ur problem..
