General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You are having a condition called BPH( benign prostatic hyperplasia). It is a disease of old age men and more than half of men above the age of fifty will suffer from this disease.

You can take drugs like tamsulosin for symptomatic relief. In severe cases which fails to respond with medical management, surgical removal of the prostate may be needed. Consult a urologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
