hi, The tip of the placenta is 2.43 Cm. away from internal os. this means it is a low lying placenta. It has following possibilities. - Many a times it resolve by 35 wks and you will have a normal vaginal full term delivery. -Even if it turns to be previa-& reaches just margin of os, A vaginal delivery is still possible with a trial of labour. _ Some times it turns out to be placenta previa-which has possibility of premature labour.LSCS is needed in such a case, but a careful lifestyle with bed rest can prolong the child birth till 34-36 wks. thank you.
Your placenta is 2.4 cm away from internal os of cervix and it signifies low lying placenta.
There are chances of hemorrhage if placenta is over lying internal os or part of it is touching os.But in your case it is near internal os and it is likely to move away more with advancement of pregnancy.Don’t bother about this.
Rest of the findings are normal.
It is too early to comment on type of delivery will you have.ultrasound report doesn’t indicate towards this at all.
Hi Dear, Placenta is a structure which attaches the baby to the uterus and is very vascular. It can be either anterior, posterior or fundal. Placent which is situated within 3cm from internal OS is said to be low lying and in such cases their are difficulty in vaginal delivery and increased chances of bleeding even spontaneous. This risk increases as much as placenta is near the OS .so its anterior location is better as compared to posterior in terms of vaginal delivery. You are just 21 weeks pregnant and placenta is anterior 2.43 cm away which itself is safe. Also, as the pregnancy advances, placenta moves upwards and in a large number of cases the placenta totally moves into the upper uterine cavity. There is no need to worry. you can still have normal delivery and will not go into preterm labour due to low lying placenta per se. All the best
