Possibility Of A Fungal Infection From Sweating

Good day
I had a AMS 700 CX penile in plant about (4) weeks ago. After the first week I need new type of underwear for support and I put then on without washing then I got a red rash and sometimes it itched. I have tried some creams then I read monistat would help because its must likely a fungal infection from sweating etc. I have my wife's Monistat 7 she never used would it work.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sweating can increase the chances of fungal infection through moisture mediated mechanisms. Monistat would definitely work excellently along with which you should:
• Keep genitals clean with antiseptic liquids, dry
• Wear clean underwears
• Try to control sweating as possible with medicated dusting powders
• Need of systemic antibiotics +/- antifungals depend upon the clinical check examination by the implant person.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
