Positive STI Test Result Even After Taking Treatment, Did Not Have Sex During Treatment. What Could Be The Reason?

I had an STI test i was positive i stated treatment a month latter i went for check up it was still positive i again got on another treatment a week latter i again went for check up but i am still positive but i have not been having SEX during or after treatment, what could be the problem?

Hi,

Sexually Transmited Infection include several type of infections. You should have specified the type. And unresponsive treatment can be due to many reason including resistance to drugs, extent of infection, low doses of medicines etc.

I need some more information to resolve your query like
* type of STI
* Name of medicine
* any skin eruptions over genitals or history of discharge.
