Please Suggest A Remedy For Pain In The Arm, Left Shoulder Blade, And Heartburn.

I am experiencing a throbbing pulsing feeling sometimes with pain in my left arm, also heartburn after eating or when lying down, pain in the back of my left shoulder blade and a minor cough from time to time. Also gag sometimes while eating. Could this be acid reflux accompanied by a pulled muscle?

Hello,

The pain in the left arm and left shoulder may not be related to heartburn. Sometimes pain from heart is referred to these organs and felt away from heart. Pain when lying down could be angina at rest and should be investigated by a cardiologist.

Thus, my advise to you would be to get checked up by a cardiologist and if he rules out trouble with heart, you can consider acid refulx with pulled muscle and get treatment accordingly.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
