Pimple Like Eruption With Pigmentation On Arms And Spreading To Upper Arm. What Can I Do To Reduce This?

I am 22 years old female.I haven't had any pimples on my face ever , but in my arms I have had this acne type formation for years now.The acne type formations are on the hair follicle, its really tiny pimple like eruptions with pigmentation in that area as well.
It has been slowly spreading in upper arms.
Recently showed a doctor & she prescribed to take minoz od and use glyco 6 & deriva cms. Been using it for almost 2 months now but haven't seen much changes.
Please suggest what I can do.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the pimple like thing on your arms.

There can be multiple of the possibility of the bump but most commonly it is due to the condition known as "Keratosis Pilaris".

I suggest you to apply Salicylic acid cream application because are best effective in these condition. You can apply fucidin cream or mupirocin cream over the affected area if any pus points are present.

Do not pinch, pop or scratch or even touch the area unnecessarily as it can cause aggravation of the rash. Wear cotton clothes and cotton inner garments which will give a soothing feeling to the skin. Stay away from extreme of environment such heat and humidity.
