Persistent Sore Throat, Strep Negative, Bumps In Throat. Any Ideas?

I have had a persistant sore throat on teh RIGHT side of my throat now for about 3 months.... strep test negative. if i reach my finger along the side ofmy tongue and down my throat, i can feel many bumps....... initially I thoguth this was bad and tried on the NON-SORE side (left) and those bumps are there too. Any ideas?
