Permanent Cure For UTI?

I have constant UTI s, but last Sat. nite I was in more pain than ever. My husband wated me to go to the ER but I did not think they coud help me, so I kept drinking water and putting the heating pad on my abdomen, I have never felt so much pain. Help!
