Painful Thumb After A Cut, Shooting Up To Arms, Elbows And Shoulder. Is It Infected?

I cut my thumb 3 days ago washing dishes. There was caramelized sugar on the pan and it sliced my thumb deep. I've had nonstop pain in my thumb ever since it happened. However now the pain is shooting up my arm into my elbow and shoulder. I'm worried I've infected my thumb! My thumb isn't pussing or anything like that...

Hello.The signs of an infected wound include: heat, redness, swelling and pain .It is possible that your wound is infected.You must go to your doctor, as soon as possible, to confirm the diagnosis and prescribe right treatment.
