Painful Lumps Behind The Ear, Took Ibuprofen. What To Do?

all these people are talking of painful lumps behind the ear mine is above the ear and it is a lump that comes and goes and it is in my head not like headache pain but more like a pain in the head and it is parallel to the temple . i take lots of ibuprophen like 6 every 3 hours ice it which is more painful when i apply that and rinse mouth and gum treatments just in case an abscess pocketed somewhere in my head

You mentioned in query that it is in the head and taking 6 tablets for pain , that too after 3 hours.
History is very confusing.
In my opinion at once consult a Neurosurgeon and get his opinion and treatment.
