Pain While Breathing, Worse Pain While Having Hiccups. Inhaled Too Much Of Paint Fumes. Cause Of Problem?
Hi I've been having some pain while breathing. The pain seems either in the middle of my chest or an area right behind my shoulder. It seems to hurt the most when i hiccup. I think it might have been from inhaling to much paint fumes since we had painted the heaters down in my basement and i was down there for awhile. What do you think could be the problem.

You are exactly right, the painting fumes causes great harm to the lungs one should wear the safety mask while handling such thing, in my opinion you should get your x-ray chest done for recreational basis, if something came out then it can be treated accordingly, but should never be neglected, have good day.

Hi this may be due to injury caused by inhaling paint fumes (hydro carbon). Aspiration pneumonitis is the most common complication of hydrocarbon ingestion. Direct contact with alveolar membranes can lead to hemorrhage, hyperemia, edema, surfactant inactivation, leukocyte infiltration, and vascular thrombosis. The result is poor oxygen exchange, atelectasis, and pneumonitis. So since you both are suffering for breathing and hiccup I advice you to consult your doctor once for examination to know the extent of damage and then based on that treatment can be given.
