thank you.
have you any aggravating factor like after taking meal or relieved after defecation or in empty stomach?
any history of passage of loose stool ?
the pain may be due to chronic calculus cholecystitis,ch.pancreatitis, diverticulitis,PUD,non ulcer dyspepsia or some form of malabsorption.
you may take pantoprazole 20 mg 12 hourly.
if it is progressing then go for an USG or consult a gastroenterologist.

General & Family Physician Dr. Mukesh Porwal's  Response
pain in upper abdomen in upright posture localized in right half at 74 in a diabetic definitely calls for attention .get an ultra sound scan of abdomen done .there could be a mass under the diaphragm , in liver. possibility of fatty liver also needs to be ruled out. gall bladder pathology should also be considered .
