Pain In Throat, White Spots, Enlarged Lymph Glands. Diagnosed As Viral Infection. Can This Cause White Spots?

Hi,

My name is Marilyn. I went to the clinic a week ago. I had pain in the throat, enlarged lymph glands in the neck and a little bit of white spots on the side of my throat. I was certain that it was Strep but they told me that is was a viral infection. My lymph glands are back to normal but my throat still hurts and its a little swollen. My question is can a viral infection cause white spots. I am afraid that I have been misdiagnosed.

Thank you,
Marilyn

Hi,
It seems that you are having bacterial infection giving rise to pus filled follicle in side of throat, most probably on tonsils.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course to control the infection.
Do antiseptic gargles.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and bye.
