Pain In The Foot, Swelling And Redness. Over Weight. Blood Test Done. Prone To Hyper Aggregation.

Hi! Firstly, thank u for answering my questions. This last three months my husband already had 5 episodes where he felt pain in his right front foot sole and the area just below his toes, and there is a little swelling and redness in that area. His had experienced this kind of pain a few times these last few years, but these last months the pain had been reoccurring more often. We got blood test taken and the results said that his cholesterol is 230, HDL is 46, LDL is 157, uris acid is 8, triglyceride is 188, and Apo-B is 129 . It said that he is prone to hyper aggregation. Please doctor, can you help us, what should we do or what specialist should we consult to? My husband is overweight with his 178 cm height and weigh at 102 kg

The Cholesterol,LDL,Triglycerides and Uric Acid appear elevated.Gout is a distinct possibility with elevation of the uric acid which may account for the pain in toes and foot. The lipid profile is elevated ,a low fat diet and exercise would help.Losing weight would help, statins are drugs which are commonly used to correct the lipid profile which has elevated LDL and cholesterol. The APo-B levels also indicate increased risk for cardiovascular disease. It would be best to consult a good Physician and a Dietician who can help guide you .
