Pain In The Base Of The Neck. Pain While Pressing It. Flushed Face, Headaches. Cause?

I have a dull ache down the base of my neck, however just below my hair line in the middle semi right there is a knot or lump or maybe its just bone. I'm not sure but it hurts when I push on it, a sharp cold type pain. And it sends a headache like pain around the bottom halves of my head. Also my face keeps getting flushed when I get the sharp pains and slight headaches?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have described are likely to be due to cervical spondylosis. This can be improved with avoiding abnormal neck positions, mild pain killers, use of a soft cervical collar, etc.
