Pain In Foot And Ankle, Swelling In Feet. X-ray Normal. What Could This Be?

last thur night i had intense pain across the top of my right foot and along the both sides of the ankle. i couldn t walk on the foot but had to drag it because it hurt too bad to stand on it. the entire foot, ankle and halfway up the leg was swollen. xrays showed no fractures what could this be. today there is no swelling or pain.

Thank for choosing the HCM , If there is no history of injury, no any other trauma history, then it could be a venous return problem, there must be some obstruction in distal veins, if this is the first episode and gone it self then you need not worry at this time but be alert it should never happened again, have a good day.
