Hi, I am takeing concerta for my a.d.h.d., a.d.d, and hyperkinesis. I am 37 years old and have always had a high metabolism. I have been giving urine test and they are all neggative for the drug. this has been going on for 10 months. I have went as far as to offer blood. Is this commen? There are to differant labs comeing up with the same results. Needless to say im very frusterated becouse i take my meds daily. Thanks,Joy
The active ingredient of Concerta is Methylphenidate (MPH). MPH has an abuse potential and is normally detected in blood. As to being detected in urine, MPH is not a substance that would be routinely tested as a "drug" in the urine. Most of the people, when being tested for drug abuse, are not tested for MPH.
Kind regards,
