On Concerta. Smoking Weed. Using Lisinopril. Can I Smoke And Be Careful?

im on high blood medication and just got put on concerta . ive been smoking weed pretty often the last 4 months. now im scared because there is a few rare cases with some scary situations. im going to smoke less because of the concerta and i know about weed and stimulants not good. but i enjoy smoking i dont know your view on marijuana, im a person that believes the plant does great things for people but also one of those people who dont go around be proud or showing it off i keep it to myself and thats how it should be. so should i be scared the next time i smoke what should i do? just be aware and watch myself? also my high blood pressure med is lisinopril and my question has to do with when should i take it now when im concerta? concerta has many heart side effects. i make sure i do my homework but i need facts and advise from someone in the medical field. please dont be close minded on the marijuana im not trying to start and debate or argument. please any advice would help.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there, thanks for asking. The point is that cannabis can change the metabolism of other drugs in the liver and so can make some medications less effective or sometimes with more side effects. If you decrease the frequency that you use weed, it could be very useful. I wish you a good health.
