On And Off Pain In Sternum Due To Small Hard Lump On Upper Side Of Sternum. Could This Be Chest Wall Tumor?

Hi, I have a small, hard lump on the upper left side of my sternum. It's been there at least two years and has given me pain on and off. Recently, it had become more painful than ever before and has been consistently painful over the past 3 days. I have done a lot of research on chest wall tumors and am scared that this could possibly be one. Please Help. Thank you.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
hi welcome to HCM
i have gone through your query and concerned about your worries
if it has been a chest wall tumor you will be having other symptoms such as increasein the size of lumo , loss of wt loss of appetite ,shortness of breath
so first get a chest Xray and consult a pulmonologist
most probably your lump might be a cyst or if it is atumor it might be of benign nature
i hope you got your answer
