On Synthroid, Still Have Lot Of Joint Pain, Neck And Finger Joint Problem. How To Get Off This Medicine ?
I have taken Synthroid for about 9 years. I have been having a lot of joint pain in the last couple years. Recently also neck and finger joint problems. I was healthy until I started taking Synthroid. In the last 3 years I have had cancer in my colon 2010, my left breast 2012, in my right breast 2013.fortunately all were caught in the early stages. My dose is .75mcg. I want to get off this drug. How can I do this without harming myself. I didn't really need it when my doctor prescribed it. I was in the low normal range and he wanted me to be more in the higher normal range. I have had nothing but health problems since I started taking it. Please tell me hoe to get off this medicine.

You are using synthroid for hypo thyroidism since 9 years,since 2 years you are suffering with lot of joint pains. Since last 3 years you had breast cancer, colon cancer.
As you describe for the first 6 years there was no problem,but only from 3 years you are sick due to lack of resistance. You are safe all these 6 years as you are taking the synthroid.
I advise you to continue the drug, for your health. It will improve your resistance as well.
