On Lisinopril For BP. On Supplements For Muscular Degeneration. Now Have Dizziness And Chest Discomfort. Treatment?

My husband is taking Lisinopril/HCTZ for blood pressure. He has been taking this for years with no problems. The eye doctor started him on Lutein and Zeaxanthin supplements for Macular degeneration. He is experiencing dizziness and chest discomfort. We have had blood work done Wednesday of last week which was good. Tomorrow he goes for a stress test. Do you think the Lutein and Zeaxanthin could be triggering the dizziness and chest discomfort?

Firstly, the supplements prescribed by eye specialist do not cause dizziness/chest discomfort. But these are known side effects of lisinopril. Please wait for the stress test result. There is nothing to worry if the test is negative.

You can request your doctor to change it to some other medicine if these symptoms persist for quite some time.
