Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
At the age of 60 years, Colon polyp showing, high grade of dysplasia, is a definite indication of Surgery. There are different options and approaches for surgery. Your Doctor has to decide the best depending on several factors, like, number of polyps, site, family history, other associated high risk factors, available advance facility, and surgeon's skill. It is better to remove that part of colon, including surrounding healthy tissue. In certain cases, we may have to remove complete colon, and then connecting small intestine to Anus. Why do you have to wait for another two months? It is better to go for surgery as early as possible. After surgery, if it is done in pre cancerous or very early cancer, there is very good prognosis. You will still need to go for yearly colonoscopy after surgery. You must take good care of your life style, by doing regular exercises, maintaing healthy weight, avoid smoking, Alcohol, saturated fatty acids. Take high fiber food. You may ask for Aspirin, daily, and Vitamin D and calcium supplementation. If you have family history of Colon cancer, Stomach cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer, all your family members should take these precautions, and go for annual screening for above cancers.
Best wishes.
