Noticed Cold Legs & Skin Mottled With A Dark Pink Colour

I am 70 years old, male, and in good health generally. I recently noticed that when I legs are cold, the skin is mottled with a dark pink color. When my legs are warmed, the color returns to normal. The effect also occurs on my arms but to a lesser degree. There is no pain or itching. YYYY@YYYY

Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It is due to drying of skin and inadequate hydration.
2. Avoid using soap or bathing frequently more than twice a day. Use mild soaps.
3. Take plenty of water to maintain hydration. You can use moisturizer or Vaseline at the locations. Avoid dry skin, as it can get damaged easily. Take precautions. Not to worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
