Two nights ago I rubbed some antibacterial hand soap in a circular motion on one side of my face. Yesterday I noticed the area becoming irritated and by evening it was full blown red rash that felt like a burn. It hasn t spread, but was wondering if this is an allergic reaction?
It may be irritant contact dermatitis due to soap. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.
I would recommend you to apply mild steroid cream and to take antihistaminics and oral steroid in tapering dose. Avoid contact with soap.
